Woman charged after hitting pedestrian in crosswalk

Just after noon on Friday, September 28, Halifax District RCMP responded to a collision at the intersection of Pinehill Dr. and Glendale Dr. in Lower Sackville.
Police say an 18-year-old woman was trying to cross Glendale using a crosswalk when she was struck by an SUV.
The pedestrian was examined by EHS but did not need to be transported to hospital.
The driver of the SUV was a 71-year-old woman from Beaverbank, who was charged with Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian.
