Foreurs edge out 4-3 win over Mooseheads

The Val-d'Or Foreurs edged out a 4-3 win over the Halifax Mooseheads on Thursday.

Alexandre Doucet gave the Foreurs a quick 1-0 lead less than 30 seconds into the first period.

Doucet netted his second minutes later to extend Val-d'Or's lead.

Evan Boucher put Halifax on the board near the midway point of the opening period.

After a scoreless second period, Brody Founier tied things up early in the third period.

Louis Robin and Thomas Larouche restored the Foreurs' late in the third period.

Attilio Biasca scored late to bring the Herd within one but the Foreurs managed to hang on, winning 4-3.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Sydney on Friday to take on the Cape Breton Eagles.
