Mooseheads defeat Islanders 5-2

The Halifax Mooseheads topped the Charlottetown Islanders 5-2 on Sunday.
After a scoreless first period, Brett Budgell put the Islanders on the board in the second.
But the Mooseheads answered back with goals from Jordan Dumais, Zachary L'Heureux and Markus Vidicek to make it 3-1 Halifax.
Noah Laaouan answered back to bring Charlottetown within one.
Elliot Desnoyers restored Halifax's two goal lead near the end of the second period.
Vidicek added to the Herd's lead early in the third period to make it a 5-2 final.
The Mooseheads will make their way to Cape Breton to take on their provincial rivals on Tuesday.
