The owners of the former Sam the Record Man and Granite Brewery buildings is looking to rejuvenate the strip.
Starfish properties has published its intent to restore the facade heritage components of the three buildings and build a two-storey addition of glass and steel on top.
The company has proposed revamping the three buildings to accommodate retail shops on the street-level floor and offices up above.
It plans to submit their design to the municipality this week and should have a response within 60 days.
It will be the first plan vetted by “HRM by design” since the system was adopted.
