When is it time to tear down your holiday cheer?

If birds have built a nest in your Christmas wreath it’s probably time to take it down. But some people think taking the decorations down before New Year’s is too early.

The outside of David’s house was fully decorated this year — but today, they were coming down.

“Twelve days after Christmas more or less,” he says.

David says he doesn’t think poorly of people who leave their decorations up past the 12 days.

But Wayne is not so forgiving.

“Lazy, some people leave it up all year.”

A few people say now is about when the decorations should be coming down.

Tradition says they should be put away the twelfth night after Christmas or “ill luck” will befall the home.
