Shooting suspects still at large

A man is expected to recover after being shot in his Halifax home.
Halifax Regional Police say a 48-year old man was in his MicMac street home with his wife and children when two men forced their way in and shot him around 4:15 a.m. Sunday.
“The man suffered a single gunshot wound and was taken to hospital,” said Sgt. Jeff Carr. “His injuries at this point are not believed to be life threatening.”
Police aren’t saying if the victim was targetted in the shooting, or if it was an accident.
Elsewhere, a card game is believed to be behind an overnight stabbing.
Police received a call around 12:45 a.m. to a residence in the 3400 block of Barrington street.
On arrival, they learned a 22-year-old stab victim had already been taken to hospital by a friend.
Police attended the hospital, where they found out he was stabbed in the head and neck.
At this point, investigators believe the stabbing resulted from a dispute during a card game.
The man was treated and released.
Police are investigating.
