Canadians evacuate Haiti

Two Canadian airplanes landed at Trudeau Airport in Montreal late Saturday night carrying about 200 Canadians from earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
One was a military transport aircraft with about 40 people aboard, and the other was an Air Canada jet carrying at least 150 people.
The evacuees included Ian Jeudy, a Montreal junior college student who says the grim situation in Haiti can be summed up in one word.
“Terrible,” he said. “Everything is destroyed in the country, there’s nothing else there.”
The bodies of two more Canadians have been found in Haiti, raising the number of Canadian fatalities to eight.
The latest victims are R-C-M-P Superintendent Doug Coates and Denis Bellevance, a computer science professor from Drummondville, Quebec.
More than 13-hundred Canadians are still unaccounted for in Haiti.
