Cabbie murder case adjourned for two months

The man accused of killing a Dartmouth cab driver made a Monday morning court appearance.

Chaze Lamar Thompson is charged with the murder of Sergei Kostin, a Dartmouth cabbie who disappeared in January 2009.

Crown Attorney Eric Taylor says the matter has been delayed for two months while Thompson works on retaining a lawyer

“He has not yet received disclosure in this case, it’s going to be massive since the investigation was a year long,” says Crown Attorney Eric Taylor.

One of Kostin’s former co-workers was in court for the appearance.

“I don’t know what to say,” says Yauheni Bely. “It’s hard to say, hard to talk to, it was my friend.”

Thompson will be back in court April 27.
