Elusive driver faces several charges

Halifax Regional Police have laid several charges against a 50-year old woman following a less than routine traffic stop.
The woman was pulled over by police around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning on Lacewood Drive.
Sergeant Don Moser tells us she locked herself inside the car and refused to cooperate with the officer.
“The female driver then drove away, at which time she did strike a marked police vehicle causing minor damage to it,” said Moser. “She continued to flea down Dunbrack Street in Halifax, and finally stopping just before the 102 Highway.”
Charges include impaired driving, flight from police and assaulting a police officer.
Police also arrested another impaired driver in the Quinpool and Oxford Road area earlier in the night.
That one was called in by a motorist who suspect the driver was impaired.
Police remind you to call 9-1-1 if you believe a driver might be impaired.
