Man arrested weeks after Dartmouth hit and run

Police have made an arrest in a weeks old hit-and-run case that seriously injured three young people earlier this month.

A Toyota Corolla and Chevy Silverado collided head-on, early on the morning of April 10 near Braemar and Braeside in Dartmouth.

The driver of the Silverado fled before police arrived to help rescue workers, who needed the jaws of life to get three people out of the Corolla.

Police say a 36-year-old Dartmouth man turned himself in Monday morning.

He’ll be in court in June on three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and one charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
