Bob Dylan not coming to the Common

It appears Bob Dylan will not play the Halifax Common this summer.

Dylan was rumoured to be the headliner for the second part of the two-day Halifax Rocks event set for July.

Metro reports the line-up includes only “fresh new artists” who have never played in Halifax.

Dylan has appeared at the Metro Centre twice.

The Black Eyed Peas, Weezer and local rapper Classified will play the Common on July 24, the second day of Halifax rocks.

Michelle MacKay of Power Promotional Concepts says an announcement on the line-up for July 23 is tentatively set for next week. Tickets could be on sale by May 21.
