Architects of new central library want public’s input

The architects of the new central Halifax library are looking for your input on what it should look like.
A public meeting is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Thursday at the Dalhousie Student Union building on University Avenue.
“The architects are are going to be looking for what they’re calling the ‘big ideas’ of people,” says Marlo MacKay with Halifax Public Libraries. “So we’re not getting into nitty-gritty specifics.”

At the meeting, architects will listen and answer questions.
“The public can come and meet with them from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. We’re going to have sort of coffee and chatting and interacting.”
More get-togethers are scheduled throughout the summer, with the design set to be unveiled in November.
