HRM police get high marks for serving and protecting

A new survey gives regional police and the RCMP high satisfaction marks from HRM residents.
The Corporate Research Associates survey asked 400 adults how they feel about the job the police do – and how safe they feel where they live, work and shop.
Of the respondents, 88 per cent feel safe in their own neighbourhood and 90 per cent feel safe when they’re out-and-about.
Ratings were also in the mid-80s for things like police visibility and how quickly people think officers would respond in an emergency.
The poll was conducted over two weeks in May after a rash of shootings in March and April.
