Ships closed to public during Royal Tour

There will be no public tours today or tomorrow of the ships in town for the International Fleet Review Week.

The ships are moving into the Bedford Basin today to prepare for the Queen’s inspection tomorrow.

The tours will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Thousands of people turned out over the weekend to visit the ships.

The most popular were the two aircraft carriers, HMS Ark Royal and USS Wasp.

Lineups were so long some people had to be turned away without getting on board.
