Warmer, wetter months ahead

Today marks the half-way point of the year, and we’ve had six months of warm, dry weather. But now we’re in for a change.
John Vissers farms strawberries near Bridgewater. He says it’s been great weather for the berries. He notes you can always add water but can’t always take it away.
“We have the ability to irrigate and we can add water,” he said. “For the most part we can make up for any shortfall.”
News 95.7 meteorologist Richard Zurawski says warm and dry will soon give way to warm and wet. But it won’t be like last summer.
“I’m not expecting low pressure systems to come in through the Maritimes and take up housekeeping and stick around for four or five days,” Zurawski said.
Zurawski says for the most, part this Canada Day weekend will be excellent.
