Dramatic rescue saves North Sydney man from fire

A North Sydney man is lucky to be alive following a fire and dramatic rescue from third-floor window ledge.
Firefighters responding to the Sunday afternoon blaze came upon the man as he dangled from a window of the mixed-use building.
He was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation and burns to his hands.
Several apartment units in the building suffered heavy damage.
A hair salon and gift shop on the bottom floor took only slight smoke and water damage.
The fire is thought to be suspicious.
