Paula Gallant murder case on hold

Jason Wayne MacRae was arrested in August and charged with the 2005 murder of his wife, Paula Gallant.

Her body was found stuffed into the trunk of her car three days after Christmas, just outside the Timberlea school where she was a popular teacher.

Now, the case has been adjourned until next month.

MacRae was not in provincial court for yesterday’s hearing. He opted to stay in his jail cell.

His lawyer, Mike Taylor requested the first-degree murder case be adjourned until October 15 while they wait for full evidence disclosure from the Crown.
