Masked man pulls off Halloween holdup

While costumed kids around metro were out filling their bags with candy and chocolate for Halloween, a masked man in the Woodside area was stocking up on a different kind of loot.

Around 8 p.m. Sunday, a man wearing a “Scream” mask and wielding a knife entered the Woodside Mini Mart on Pleasant Street.

He escaped with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Police and a K9 unit searched the scene, but were unsuccessful.

No one was injured in the hold-up.
