RCMP cruiser involved in late night crash

A 34 year old woman has been charged with impaired driving after she was involved in a collision with a Halifax District RCMP cruiser from the Sackville office.
It happened just before midnight on Friday at the intersection of Sackville Drive at Beaverbank Road in Sackville.
Police say the marked cruiser was responding to an emergency situation, with it’s lights and sirens activated at the time of the incident.
Both cars were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
There was a male passenger in the woman’s car, but no one was injured in the collision.
The woman will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on February 9th on charges of driving over 80 mgs and driving while impaired.
Police continue to investigate.
