Social media coverage to enhance Canada Winter Games

The world of sport will meet the world of social media at the Canada Winter Games.
Traditional reporting will be augmented by a team of bloggers and Tweeters at the Winter Games.
Justin Dickie is a PR student turned social media reporter. He says by web, phone, Blackberry, or whatever, you’ll be hooked up.
“Check out the hashtags we have set up for it,” says Dickie. “If you go to canadagames2011.ca and click on the Live page, it takes you to a page that shows the Twitter feed, YouTube, Flickr and the blog. You can click on any of the hashtags and it’ll sort by sport.”
The Games open on Friday with a ceremony at the Metro Centre.
