Flu-like illness closes Veterans’ Memorial Building to visitors

Two units at the QEII Health Sciences Centre are restricting visitation because of a flu-like outbreak.
Capital Health is asking the public not to visit units V6E and V6W at Camp Hill.
A number of the residents there have been hit with a bug that has symptoms including a fever, cough, fatigue, head and muscle aches, and a sore throat.
Capital Health is already reminding people not to visit nursing homes or hospitals if they are ill or have been around anyone else who has been ill.
Anyone who has been ill should stay away from a hospital for at least three days after symptoms end.
