Advance polls open Good Friday

If you’ve already decided which of Canada’s political leaders is going to get your vote, then you can cast your ballot today.
At noon on Friday, the advanced polls in the federal election will open and stay open Saturday and Easter Monday.
Besides deciding who you’re going to vote for, there are a couple things you need to have before casting your ballot…
Karen Janigan with Elections Canada says you need your voter’s card.
“If you haven’t gotten your voter information card yet which tells you where to go vote, there are a couple of ways to find out,” Janigan says. “One is to go on the Elections Canada website, www.elections.ca. You can put in your postal code or sometimes your address if you live in a big rural riding. It will tell you where your polls are.”
Janigan also warns, if you’re not on the registration you will need to id and a proof of address.
Advanced polls are open until 8:00pm.
