Gas prices finally heading lower

It’s been seven weeks since we’ve seen a drop in gas around here. The streak ends tonight, and it will very likely be in a dramatic way.

News 95.7 is predicting a drop in the 4.5 cent per litre range. Right now we’re paying 136.9 cents per litre.

Gas in regulated New Brunswick fell last night, down 3.4 cents. Diesel dropped 6 cents.

Drivers in some other markets around Canada saw a significant drop Thursday morning, due to a drop in the price of crude oil and wholesale gas.

Prices around Toronto fell by 6.2 cents overnight, to 134.9 cents per litre.

Federal Minister of Industry Tony Clement will hold a news conference in Toronto, Thursday, to discuss the fluctuating cost of gasoline.
