Crown drops charges against man charged in Hatcher murder

One of the teenagers accused of first-degree murder in the December shooting of Brandon Hatcher is free today.

The crown withdrew the charge with no explanation.

We can’t tell you the name of the 18-year-old man because he was 17 when Hatcher was killed.

The 20-year-old was shot dead outside a home on Lavender Walk in Spryfield on December 3, in what police have said was an ongoing dispute between family-based drug gangs.

Two others are still facing charges in the death — 21-year-old Cody Alexander Muise and a 17-year-old boy.
