PENTICTON (NEWS1130) – Mounties want to know what David Wesley Bobbitt was doing between the time a young mother was sexually assaulted in Penticton this weekend and the time he was arrested Wednesday night.

The woman was viciously beaten in front of her 22-month-old son in a Penticton second hand store owned by Bobbitt early Sunday morning.

Bobbitt was picked up by police near Oliver on Wednesday night after a farmer told them he was camping out on her property.

Police are now trying to put together a time line and figure out how he got from Penticton to Oliver, including anyone who may have seen him hitchhiking.
