Robert Chisholm enters NDP leadership race

Dartmouth-Cole Harbour MP Robert Chisholm has announced his candidacy for the federal NDP leadership race.
The announcement came this morning at Halifax’s Aldernay Landing and was attended by several politicians including, Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter.
Chisholm is the eighth person to officially announce they are running for the position left empty with the death of Jack Layton.
Chisholm won his federal seat in the spring election and was previously the leader of the Nova Scotia NDP from 1996 to 2000.
He’s not bilingual but said he has been studying french since he was elected in May.
