The fate of the idled NewPage paper mill in Cape Breton will likely be known next week.
A spokeswoman for the court-appointed monitor overseeing the sale of the mill says an announcement will likely be made Tuesday or Wednesday.
The mill near Port Hawkesbury was shut down in September, effectively eliminating one thousand jobs in the community.
Four bids have been received for the mill’s assets, with two bidders saying they intend to reopen the operation.
