One year ago today a young woman was stabbed to death outside a Dartmouth apartment building, and although police have been following up on all the leads they still don’t have enough evidence to bring the murderer to justice.
There was a party at 117 Pinecrest Drive on January 8th, 2011 when a fight broke out.
Two women were stabbed and one of them, 19-year-old Keya Simon died at the scene.
Her 32-year-old sister was the other stabbing victim but she survived.
Halifax Constable Brian Palmeter says investigators need help.
“We haven’t had enough information to lay charges in this case, however we do know there we people present who know what happened and they, for one reason or another, have not co-operated with our investigation,” he explains.
If someone with that information wants to break the case while remaining anonymous, they can call Crimestoppers.
