No bail for navy officer in spy case

A navy intelligence officer accused in a case of espionage is not getting bail.

Sub-Lieutenant Jeffrey Delisle is charged with communicating information that could harm national interests.

The judge announced Friday afternoon that Delisle will not be granted bail after an application earlier this week in a Halifax court.

He’s been in custody at the Burnside Jail since his arrest in January.

Delisle, from Halifax, also faces a breach of trust charge under the criminal code.

His next court date is set for May 8th at 10am.
