Mounties announce steroid bust

RCMP have charged three men after an investigation into steroid distribution.

On the evening of March 20th, the RCMP Synthetic Drug Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment unit on Lower Water Street in Halifax.

Officers seized a variety of materials used in the production of anabolic steroids including 60,000 empty and 1,000 full gel-caps, three gel-capping machines, 5000 empty vials and unused labels for steroid distribution.

Five litres of unknown liquids and one kilogram of an unknown powder were seized and taken to the RCMP lab for analysis. Police say they also discovered spreadsheets consistent with a steroid and supplement business.

The investigation continued with a search warrant being executed on April 11th at a home on St Margarets Bay Road.
