Charges laid after three-vehicle crash on 118

Halifax RCMP have a woman under arrest after a three-car crash on the 118 Thursday morning. Corporal Scott Macrae says a vehicle crossed the center line on the highway while trying to make an illegal U-turn.
“The female driver that we arrested tried to cross the highway to use one of those turn-abouts,” he says. “There’s reasons why people shouldn’t use those, speeds of vehicles, it’s just dangerous to do so.”
Police used witness descriptions and eye witness accounts to catch up with the suspect in Cole Harbour. Investigators are now looking to find out if alcohol played any part in the crash.
One person in one of the two cars that was hit was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
