Two robbery attempts in Dartmouth

A robber in Dartmouth used a fake gun to attempt a real holdup.
A 43-year-old man told police he knew the weapon pointed at him near Jackson Road and Leaman Drive Wednesday morning was fake, so when the robber demanded his property, he refused, and the crook fled empty-handed.
Also on Wednesday, a 14-year-old boy says two boys accosted him around 3:45 pm near Main and Prince Albert. They threatened him, hit him and tried to take his iPod, but the victim got away.
In a news release, police described the suspects this way:
“The first suspect is described as a medium complected black male, 15-years-old, 5’4″ with fluffy hair in the front and eyebrows shaved in lines. He was wearing a brown hoodie, grey shorts and dark footwear. The second suspect is described as a black male with a darker complexion then the first suspect, 10 to 12-years-old and wearing a purple hoodie and jeans.”
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
