Charges laid in robbery

Four Halifax area teens are facing charges in relation to the robbery of an elderly man.  

Three homes in North Preston were searched yesterday; as a result five young men were taken in for questioning.

Police announced today 4 of the 5 are now facing charges.

On Wednesday, two teens knocked on the door of an 81 year Old’s home in Dartmouth. Once inside, the man was forced to the basement at gunpoint. His keys and car were then stolen according to police.

The 2010 Buick Lacrosse was located Thursday morning.

All 4 teens are charged with break and entry and possession of stolen property, 2 of them also face weapons charges.

Court appearances have been scheduled on Monday for 3 of the suspects.
