A 24-year-old man from Los Angeles is at the QEII hospital in Halifax Saturday after being arrested by the RCMP for allegedly hitting a flight attendant on a flight from Toronto to Halifax.
Officers were called to the airport just before 10:30 p.m. Friday night.
They report the passenger became agitated and repeatedly left his seat as the plane was attempting to land, refusing to comply with the flight crew’s requests to calm down.
He was said to be acting very irrationally and struck a flight attendant.
Several passengers subdued the man, who is originally from Dartmouth, and held him until police arrested him and took him to the hospital.
The investigation continues.
