Man charged in March bank robbery

Halifax police say a man has been charged in connection with a bank robbery that happened earlier this year in Dartmouth.

On March 27th, in the middle of the afternoon, officers were called to the CIBC on Portland St. after a man went in, threatened staff and got away with cash on foot.

Investigators identified a suspect and 51-year-old Peter Todd Bourassa of Barton, N.S turned himself into police on Thursday.

He was held in custody overnight and scheduled to appear in court Friday to face charges of robbery and wearing a disguise with intent.
