Shooting sends two teens to hospital

Two 19-year-old men were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Dartmouth Saturday night.
Police were called to the 100 block of Grant Street at around 9 p.m. where they learned white vehicle has pulled up in front of a home and opened fire on two teens, who were both shot once in the lower body.
“Shots were fired by a passenger in a small to midsize white sedan while it drove slowly past the residence,” said Sgt. Jeff Carr. “It may have been a Pontiac Sunfire or Chevy Colbalt. The occupants of the vehicle were described as being white or having a light complexion. The shooter had short hair and something covering his face, possibly a bandana.”
The house was also hit, leaving several bullet holes.
“These incidents are seldom random,” added Sgt. Carr. “The two victims are known to police, and with any investigation, we’ll look at the background of the victims, including known associates to determine who might be responsible.”
Police are still investigating.
