Man charged with impersonating a police officer

Halifax Regional Police say a man was arrested at a Dartmouth apartment building Thursday night for impersonating a police officer.

Police received a complaint about the man from an apartment complex in the 700 block of Windmill Road.

After officers located him, they say a search of his vehicle turned up a taser, numerous replica firearms and clothing with police markings.

The 45-year-old was to appear in Dartmouth court Friday morning on charges of impersonating a police officer and weapons offences.
