Charges laid in weekend stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a Sunday night stabbing in Dartmouth.
Just before 11 p.m. on Sunday, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment on Albro Lake Road.
A 27-year-old man had been stabbed and several others assaulted by a man known to them.
The stabbing victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say early Monday morning, they arrested Troy Bowden, 22, without incident at an apartment on Garshan Road in Dartmouth.
He was remanded in custody and is appearing today in Dartmouth Provincial Court on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and breach of probation, among other charges.
