Gabrielle to move into Maritimes Friday morning

Tropical Storm Gabrielle is expected to bring rain and wind to much of the Maritimes starting mid-morning tomorrow.
“Gabby” is still tracking just south of Nova Scotia.
News 95.7 Meteorologist Richard Zurawski says that means we’re in for a lot of rain and up to 70 kilometre per hour winds.
“The prominent feature in all of this is probably going to be the rain, as we’re looking at about 50, possibly 60 millimetres of rain and of course, there are embedded thunderstorms with this as the cold front slides through with it, as it merges with a secondary low pressure system. So, some areas could be getting substantially more rainfall,” said Zurawksi.
The rain is expected to start around noon and then taper off into the evening and overnight.
