The Clothesline Project takes over Mic Mac Mall

A camapaign to help victims of gender based violence will took over Mic Mac Mall Saturday.

Hundreds of shirts will be hung up for the International Clothesline Project.

Victims Services Spokesperson Angela Jeffery said the goal is to challenge the misconception that talking about sexual or phyisical abuse is “airing your dirty laundry”

“You can put that out there, you can air these things and this is actually a societal problem, these are crimes, and they should be out there and discussed,” said Jeffery.
Each t-shirts has a message written or drawn by women who have been affected by abuse.
