Wicked weather slams Maritimes

Time to batten down the hatches.

A big storm that brought tornados and strong winds to the United States Mid-West on Sunday will make an appearance in Nova Scotia Monday afternoon and into Tuesday.

“Blustery wet autumn weather.” said News 95.7 Meteorologist Richard Zurawski  “Winds are going to gust this afternoon to about 80 kilometres per hour, possibly 90.”

Temperatures will drop as the system passes over.  “A cold front is moving through”  said Zurawski “It’s going to be windy, not quite as windy, but temperatures will plummet.”

Zurawski says once the system passes, the long term forecast shows near normal temperatures and precipitation amounts throughout the winter.
