Zann considers NDP leadership run

There will be no shortage of candidates by the time the provincial NDP are ready to pick a new leader, even though that’s still months away, but some possible hopefuls are starting to suggest they’d be interested in the job.
The Chronicle Herald reports one of those people is Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River MLA Lenore Zann.
However, she says it’s not something she would rush into. Right now she wants to focus on being a good critic, starting with the fall siting of the legislature.
The NDP appointed Maureen MacDonald as acting party leader this weekend after former premier Darrell Dexter stepped down last week.
A leadership convention could happen as soon as next fall.
