Halifax police say a man was hit by a car on Monday night in the city, however he was not in a marked crosswalk.
According to police, the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. on Davison Street while the man was crossing the road diagonally.
He was struck from behind in the legs and knocked to the ground by a vehicle that appeared to be spinning on ice.
The vehicle, described as a darker colored sedan, then got some traction and left the scene without stopping.
