Cape Breton house fire kills two

A house fire in the Cape Breton Community of Florence has left two dead.
A man and women in their late 70’s were in their home when the fire took over around three o’clock Monday.
Fire and emergency crews from both Sydney Mines and Florence made it to the scene quickly but the home was already completely engulfed.
Officials said one good Samaritan tried to enter the home but was stopped by the flames and intense heat.
A spokesperson for the Cape Breton Regional Police told the Cape Breton Post the fire left heavy damage to the structure of the home.
He added the victims were the only people in the home at the time and it’s still too early to know the cause of the fire.
