Price drop at the pumps

For the first time in a number of weeks gas prices dropped in Nova Scotia.

The price for a litre of regular self-serve is down this morning by 4.8 cents a litre to a new minimum price of $130.4.

The drop means a 50 litre fill up today will cost you $2.40 less than it would have yesterday.

Diesel fuel prices have also been lowered by 3.9 cents a litre to $138.2.

Last year at this time, we were paying $1.28 for gasoline and $1.33 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $93.82 U.S. a barrel, which is just over a dollar per barrel more than yesterday’s closing price of $92.48.
