Fire investigators will be back on the scene of a house fire in Eastern Passage this morning looking for what sparked a blaze that destroyed half of a duplex.
Firefighters were called to the scene in the 100-block of Romkey Drive around 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
Division commander Lloyd Curries told Metro Halifax there were concerns that the fire would spread, and strong winds from the harbour made the fire a tough one to battle.
Crews did manage to put the fire out about an hour after arrival.
The unit where the fire started was destroyed, and the top floor of the second unit sustained heavy damage.
No one was home in either dwelling and there were no injuries reported.
