First lady guest on the new ‘Tonight Show’; promotes exercise, diet and ‘Obamacare’

By The Associated Press

WASHINGTON – First lady Michelle Obama, an outspoken advocate of healthy eating and exercise, says the president and vice-president are getting ready to show America “how they move.”

Mrs. Obama sat down Thursday for a chat with Jimmy Fallon, the new host of NBC’s “Tonight Show,” and talked about life in the White House, as well as her Let’s Move exercise initiative.

She’s encouraging Americans to demonstrate how they’re exercising. She says –quote — “We want people to Facebook it, Tweet it, Instagram it.” The hashtag is #LetsMove.

If there’s enough response, Mrs. Obama says President Barack Obama and maybe Vice-President Joe Biden “will show us how they move.”

She also promoted her husband’s health care law, encouraging young people to enrol before the end of March deadline.
