Police continue search for missing SMU student Loretta Saunders

The investigation into the disappearance of a SMU student continues.

26-year-old Loretta Saunders hasn’t been seen since Feb. 13 and her car was found in Ontario six days later.

Investigators spoke to a cab driver over the weekend they think might have had information on the case, after appealing to the public for help in tracking down the cab that was seen in the area when Saunders disappeared.

“It’s someone who may or not have seen something, or have information about the disappearance, it’s not someone suspected of foul play,” says Cst. Pierre Bourdages.

Bourdages adds investigators are following up on other leads in the case.

“Investigators have been working throughout the weekend, things are progressing, but we still haven’t located Ms. Saunders,” he explains.

Saunders’ car was recovered by police in Ontario on Feb. 19.  Two people, 28-year-old Victoria Henneberry and her boyfriend 25-year-old Blake Leggette were arrested at the time.

Bourdages says anyone who may have seen Saunders or her car between Feb. 13 and 19 are urged to get into contact with them.
