A 23-year-old man was pepper sprayed in the face by two masked men in a failed robbery attempt early this morning.

Police say he was sprayed after he refused to let the men use his phone.

This happened around Lacewood Drive and Glenforest Drive around 2 a.m.

Police spokesperson Sgt. Greg Robertson told News 95.7 the suspects didn’t get anything and the victim got away.

“He was able to run away and was able to contact police.  The area was checked by numerous police units.  The K9 unit was also deployed but we were unable to locate the suspects,” explained Robertson.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene.
