MONCTON, N.B. – A Moncton city block, which has been barricaded for the past couple of hours as part of the city-wide manhunt for shooting suspect Justin Bourque, has been re-opened by Codiac RCMP.
Around 1:30PM heavily-armed tactical unit officers surrounded a building, while a large number of police officers were seen in a part of the perimeter with their weapons drawn.
Codiac RCMP has yet to release any specifics about the situation.
Moncton residents within the Pinehurst subdivision are still being urged to stay inside and lock their doors while the search continues.
The 24-year old is wanted in connection to last night’s shooting rampage, in which three RCMP officers were killed and two others were injured.
Bourque is believed to be armed and dangerous.
